I am Áron Kolozsvári, a 14-year-old go-kart racer, and motorsport is my passion. I knew at the age of five that I wanted to be in a racing car one day – back then I was racing a pedal go-kart in our yard, and I imagined that one day I would become a world champion. I would sit in front of the TV during every Formula 1 broadcast and absorb the layout of the tracks, the bends and the ideal curves.

As I grew up, my passion only grew. My dad was even faster than me when I first rode an electric go-kart, but I quickly got the hang of it and from then on I was winning. During the coronavirus, I continued to practice on a simulator, where I competed with adults, and my results were even noticed in the professional league. They said I had a knack for it. And I knew: it was time to take my dream seriously.

In 2023, when I first sat in a petrol go-kart, something special happened. When I took the first corner, it was like I had found home. Not long after, after a few laps, I broke the lap record on one of the rental go-kart tracks, and from there there was no turning back. My parents supported me with all their might, even though they had no experience in how to get started in this complex and expensive technical sport.

Now, just over a year later, I am at the top of the Rotax Max Junior category of the national championship, as a member of the TMS Top-Motorsport team. But this is just the beginning. Every race weekend I feel that there is something more inside me. An inner motivation that drives me to be better, faster, more precise, and with each lap I get closer to making my dreams come true.

The road ahead of me is long and challenging.

Becoming one of the best in karting requires not only talent, but also hard work, perseverance and, last but not least, a solid financial background. After karting, racing is my next goal, and I am working with all my strength and talent to achieve it. However, for this I need friends who see the potential in me and believe that one day I too can race among the best in the world and represent our country.
